Saint Lucia is an island country situated in the east of the Caribbean Sea. This island is the second largest of the Windward Islands and was created as a result of a volcanic activity. Later, in 1967, the island became self-governing, while it reached total independence from England on 22nd of February in 1979. St. Lucia now continues to be a member of the Commonwealth of Nations.
